Are you a qualified teacher who is fluent in Welsh and passionate about inspiring young people in a secondary school setting? We are currently recruiting QTS Secondary Teachers to work across Welsh-medium secondary schools in Torfaen, starting in September 2026.

The Role:

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated secondary teachers who can deliver engaging subject-specific lessons through the medium of Welsh and support pupils in achieving their full potential.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across your specialist subject area, maintaining strong classroom management, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging subject-specific lessons through the medium of Welsh
Plan and deliver high-quality teaching in line with the curriculum
Support pupil progress across your specialist subject area
Maintain strong classroom management and behaviour expectations
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Contribute to the wider life of the school

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Fluent Welsh speaker - essential
Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
Strong subject knowledge in your specialist area
Excellent classroom management skills
Passion for Welsh-medium education and supporting learners
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Ability to provide two professional references
