Are you a passionate educator with experience in teaching Welsh and committed to supporting learners across secondary education? An established education organisation in South East Wales is seeking a dedicated Welsh Teacher to join a reputable secondary school on a full-time, long-term basis. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work with students in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form, fostering their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead engaging Welsh lessons across secondary education levels, including KS3, KS4, and Sixth Form.
* Prepare classrooms and develop schemes of work aligned with the national curriculum.
* Deliver innovative and inclusive lessons, integrating classroom and lab-based activities where applicable.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies to ensure a positive learning environment.
* Assess student work, provide meaningful feedback, and track progress to support student achievement.
* Attend parents’ evenings and school events to communicate student progress effectively.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve teaching strategies and support learner engagement.
Requirements
* At least one year of teaching experience in Welsh or a relevant subject – NQTs are also encouraged to apply.
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an overseas equivalent.
* Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), with assistance available if needed.
* Current Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
* References covering the last two years without gaps.
* Valid right to work in the UK.
