Job Description - Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant - Blaenau Gwent

Welsh-Speaking Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Blaenau Gwent
Contract Type: Full Time

Are you passionate about supporting young learners? Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a fantastic school in Blaenau Gwent. The position is part-time, initially for three days a week, and is set to begin as soon as possible.

About the School:
This school is known for its child-centred approach, where the needs of each individual child are at the heart of everything they do. They are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment to help all students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom.
Assist in the development and implementation of tailored learning plans.
Promote inclusive learning and support the emotional and social development of children.
Use the Welsh language within the school community.
Work closely with the teaching staff to ensure each child's learning needs are met.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Fluent in Welsh, both written and spoken.
Experience working with children, preferably within an educational setting.
A compassionate, patient, and positive attitude toward supporting young learners.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Desirable:

Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
Knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN) is a plus.
