Wet-Lab Research Assistant

Our mission at Micrographia Bio is to deliver a new era of drug discovery using spatial proteomics. 

We are adding a Research Assistant (wet-lab based) to our multidisciplinary team.   This role will be responsible for routine sample preparation (cell culture & treatment / immunostaining), conducting cell- and microscopy-based experiments as well as for laboratory stock maintenance.  The successful candidate will join a world-class team that is united by an intrinsic motivation to develop first-in class technology and new medicines.  We’re looking for people who do brilliant work and 10X the work of the people around them.

Responsibilities

• Routine sample preparation for assays (cell culture and treatment / immunostaining)Lab stocks maintenance
• Performing experiments in timely manner with high – quality, robust output 
• Reporting results
• Identify and report technical issues 
• Project management in fast-paced environment 
• Comfortable working late nights / weekends if experimental protocol requires (secure 24/7 building with security and safeguards. Out of hours meals are provided as well as ubers/taxis for ride home)

Location

The location for this role will be in person daily at our research facilities in central London

Date

Interviews will start week of June 24, 2024.

Must haves

• Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Strong work ethic and growth mindset to fit into team culture
• Proficient in tissue culture
• Experience running cell- and microscopy-based assays
• Ability to follow detailed SOPs 
• Meticulous by nature and attention to detail superpowers

The candidate will exhibit the ability to work well under pressure to provide high quality results in a short timeframe.
