Whisky Advisor

Whisky Advisor - Permanent, full-time position,  36.25 hours per week

(Monday to Saturday working, rota basis)

Are you passionate about whisky and providing 5-star customer service with panache? If so, we have the opportunity for a Whisky Advisor to join our motivated team of Specialists in Whisky, Wines & Spirits at Gordon and MacPhail located in our new stunning location - The Courtyard - Johnston of Elgin, Moray, Scotland.

The successful candidate will ideally have/be:

• A passion and knowledge for Scotch Whisky and the drink industry as a whole.


• Confident in approaching and building rapport with customers from around the world.


• A clear and engaging communicator with excellent sales skills.


• Inquisitive, a keen learner and happy to find the solution to any problem.


• Flexible in your approach and able to think on your feet.
  


• Willingness to extend and update product knowledge on a regular basis.


• A team player with high level of dedication.


• Work on own initiative and under pressure, plan own workload, meet deadlines and be self-motivated.


• Previous experience in whisky, wines and spirits, retail or hospitality is an advantage.


• Minimum 18 years of age (as under UK law, 18 is the minimum age at which you can sell or serve alcohol).
