Window Cleaner

Job Overview:
JJ Cleaning Co are a family run business thats been operating for over 20 years. We run a steady reliable service to the local areas of Arlesey, Hitchin, Letchworth and local villages. We are looking for a Window Cleaner 4 days a week to work on a self employed

basis who will be responsible for cleaning windows, glass surfaces of residential & small/medium commercial buildings, ensuring they are spotless and streak-free. This role involves working at various heights and requires attention to detail, physical stamina,

and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean Windows:

Wash and clean glass partitions using cleaning solutions, squeegees, cloths, and other cleaning tools provided.
Inspect Surfaces:

Inspect window glass and frames for damage, such as cracks or loose fittings, and report any issues to management.
Remove Debris:

Remove grime, dust, and stains from windows, ensuring they are clear and transparent.
Handle Equipment:

Properly use, maintain, and store all cleaning equipment and supplies.
Follow Safety Procedures:

Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Communicate with Clients:

Interact professionally with clients, addressing any concerns or special requests regarding window cleaning services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:

Previous experience in window cleaning or a similar role is preferred.
Physical Fitness:

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working at heights.
Attention to Detail:

Meticulous approach to ensure windows are thoroughly cleaned without streaks or spots.
Safety Awareness:

Knowledge of and commitment to working safely.
Communication Skills:

Good verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Reliability:

Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
Driver’s License:

Valid driver’s license may be required for traveling to different job sites.
Working Conditions:
Environment:

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions.
Hours:

Core hours are between 7-4am Monday- Thursday. Some hours on Fridays may be required but will be paid extra for this
Training:

On-the-job training is typically provided to ensure the use of proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
