Window Fabricator Engineer

Window Fabricator Engineer sought by a UK leading extruder and distributor of PVCu windows systems. Established for over 40 years, they are an independent, family-owned business who are known for their quality, innovation and performance standards.

The Role:
Known formally within the business as Tooling Technician, as a Window Fabricator Engineer covering the South East region (around M25 and London), you will provide technical advice and assistance to new and existing customers. Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Visiting prospective customers to plan factory layout, if required
• Ordering appropriate tooling for customers’ machinery
• Helping customers with first orders, if required
• Testing machinery prior to production
• Giving full instruction in the fabrication of profile systems
• Carrying out minor repairs to machines where possible
• Carrying out general visits to ensure fabricators are happy
• Showing customers the use of computer software supplied by the Company, if required
• Performing site visits as required from time to time, to examine problems that arise with profiles and production
• Manufacturing samples etc for the sales force and weather / security testing when required
• Assisting in the Technical office to cover any absences

The successful Window Fabricator Engineer will demonstrate:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in the Fenestration industry
• As a Tooling Engineer or Senior Fabricator, you may have managed a team, been a Charge Hand or trained staff the making of doors and windows
• Good experience of fabrication or production management
• Knowledge of training on how to make doors and windows
