Job purpose

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Windows 11 Deployment Specialist to support the planning, testing, and rollout of Windows 11 across our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience with OS deployment, user data migration, hardware compatibility assessments, and support during and after deployment.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

• Plan and execute organization-wide deployment of Windows 11 in accordance with IT policies and schedules.
• Conduct hardware and software compatibility assessments.
• Use tools like Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune for deployment tasks.
• Develop and test deployment images, including driver integration and software packaging.
• Perform user profile migration and data backup/restoration.
• Provide end-user support and training during the transition to Windows 11.
• Collaborate with IT Security, application owners, and help desk teams to ensure smooth deployment.
• Troubleshoot deployment failures and post-deployment issues.
• Maintain documentation and deployment logs.
• Provide training in group and 121 setups.

Other tasks related to the service operation and support of the NBKIs Technology Services at the discretion of the Head of IT Operations Manager.

Out hours work may be required from time to time to complete deployments.

Qualification & Experience

• Proven experience with large-scale Windows OS deployments.
• Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Group Policy, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Experience with deployment tools such as SCCM, Intune or Windows Autopilot.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and user support abilities.

Essential Competencies / Skills  

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., MD-100, MD-101, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate).
• Experience with hybrid or cloud-first environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise imaging and user state migration tools.
