Why This Role Matters
The successful candidate will provide general assistance and support to specialists and the sale coordinator on all sale related activity. This role will provide the candidate with a solid understanding of the functionality of the Wine Department at Christie’s. The candidate will be expected to divide their time between the warehouse in West Drayton and the head office on King Street as required.
How You'll Make an Impact
Assist with all aspects of sale production – cataloguing property, organising photography, proof reading material
Work with the Specialists to check and photograph property, being the primary user of the automated photograph production system at the warehouse
Assist with image management post-photography – proofing images and assigning them to their relevant lot
Assist Specialists on valuations where appropriate – typing up property lists, conducting in depth research, gathering material, preparing images
Participate in activities that support the smooth running of the sale
Assist with marketing and promotion of the sale
Prepare assets for condition reports including writing additional checking notes and taking condition photos
Help to update excel trackers as required
Other duties as required
What you’ll bring to the team
WSET Level 2 qualification, or functional experience relevant to the role
Demonstrated ability to handle and appraise property
Exceptional organizational skills including ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage multiple processes
Strong attention to detail and follow-up to see tasks through to completion
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including superior written and spoken communication, with the ability to utilise these to satisfy clients
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Ability to creatively problem solve
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), and ability to learn Christie’s systems effectively
Knowledge of the auction workflow and processes beneficial

Salary: £32,000 per annum
