Wiring Technician

Bedford - Permanent - Monday to Friday Role + Plus Benefits

Salary: £27-£33,000 DOE

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Wiring Technician to join a specialist engineering and electronics manufacturing environment based in Bedford.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in electrical wiring, cable assembly, control panels or electronic box builds, who enjoys working on technically detailed products and takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities as a Wiring Technician

Build, assemble, fit and wire complex electronic box builds, control panels and cabinets.
Manufacture wiring looms, cable assemblies and connectors from engineering drawings and production kits.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, wiring schedules and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Produce neat, accurate and intricate wiring to required build standards.
Carry out hand soldering and select the appropriate soldering equipment for the application.
Use hand crimping tools and specialist wiring tools, including Daniels crimping tools.You should have:

Experience of electrical/electronic wiring and assembly.
The ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and wiring schematics.
Experience building cable assemblies, wiring looms and connectors.
Good hand soldering and crimping skills.
Knowledge of wire gauges, crimp sizes and identification systems.
Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
The ability to work independently and as part of a small specialist team.
