Work Placement Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Work Placement Officer to support adult learners in achieving their progression goals, from initial engagement to successful destinations in further education or employment.

Role Responsibilities

• Engage directly with local residents, particularly in disadvantaged communities, to encourage participation in suitable learning opportunities.
• Provide tailored support to adult learners, ensuring a smooth transition from learning into positive progression pathways such as further study or employment.
• Gather local intelligence to identify learning needs, barriers to progression, and opportunities for curriculum development.
• Coordinate, monitor, and track work experience and placement activities for adult learners.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of learner participation and progression, identifying and addressing barriers as needed.
  
  

Essential Requirements

• GCSE English Language and Maths at grade C/4-9 or equivalent.
• Educated to Level 3 in a related subject area.
• Knowledge of careers guidance and employability skills for adults.
• Understanding of local employability initiatives, DWP priorities, and the adult skills landscape.
• Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word (document and email production) and Excel (basic formulas and data manipulation).
