Are you a hands-on production leader with a strong engineering background and a passion for operational excellence? Our client, a leading player in the engineering sector, is looking for a Production Manager to take ownership of their day-to-day production operations and drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

As Production Manager, you’ll oversee the company’s production function, ensuring robust systems and procedures are followed, and leading a team of dedicated Team Leaders and Operatives. You’ll be a key figure in maintaining production efficiency, upholding quality standards, and fostering a positive, safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager include:

• Lead the production team, offering day-to-day guidance and support
• Drive adherence to company quality systems and ensure compliance with relevant standards
• Promote and enforce Health & Safety policies, ensuring safe working practices are embedded across the team
• Communicate clearly and consistently with your team, conducting regular updates, briefings, and toolbox talks
• Attend contract review meetings and liaise with external inspectors and notified bodies
• Oversee the management of documentation packs and life-time records from creation to delivery in line with customer requirements

We’re keen to speak to Production Managers with the below skills and experience:

• A solid management background within an engineering environment
• Knowledge of welding-related standards such as BS EN ISO 9606-1, BS EN ISO 15609-1, and BS EN ISO 15614-1 is essential
• You’re a natural leader who can inspire and engage teams across the business
• Health & Safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH) would be beneficial
• Comfortable using MS Office and working across both office and shop floor environments
• Strong management, communication, and technical/commercial awareness
