Workshop Access Engineer

We’re looking for a Workshop operative (access) to help us keep our fleet in excellent condition and ready for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

·        Inspect, maintain, and repair our MEWP hire fleet

·        Carry out LOLER inspections and keep accurate records

·        Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic faults

·        Clean, prepare, and rebrand equipment for customers

·        Maintain a safe, tidy, and organised workshop

Essential:

·        Experience or qualifications in powered access (CAP, IPAF,) preferred, however not essential for the right candidate as training offered

·        Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge

·        Ability to read and work with schematics

·        Familiarity with a range of access equipment and  manufacturers

·        Practical, methodical, and hands-on approach

·        Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

·        Able to work independently and as part of a team

·        Confident with paperwork and basic IT systems (MS Office)

·        Reliable, hard-working, and detail-oriented

·        Willing to learn and develop within a growing company

Desirable:

·        Plant hire, forklift, or mechanical engineering industries that involve LOLER Inspections

·        Maintenance and repair of lifting equipment

·        Electrical/hydraulic engineering with hands-on experience
