Workshop Assistant

Morgan McKinley is looking for a reliable and proactive Workshop Assistant to join a company based in Billingshurst, West Sussex. This is a temp job opportunity to start ASAP and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and is physically capable of handling heavy lifting. the Workshop Assistant job requires a positive attitude and a hands-on approach are essential.

Hours: 8-5 Mon-Fri

Duration: Start ASAP - initially until end of October

Location: Onsite, Billingshurst, West Sussex

Workshop Assistant duties:

Performing heavy lifting as required
Operating workshop machinery such as beam saws, CNC drills, and CNC edgebanders
Carrying out general maintenance and cleaning tasks
Managing workloads and responsibilities assigned by the Team Leader
Understanding job-specific requirements and ensuring tasks are completed accurately
Reporting any faults, issues, or discrepancies with production or on the workshop floor to your supervisorSkills and experience:

Ideally have worked in an Engineering, Workshop or Manufacturing environment, lifting, shifting, processing goods etc.
Excellent communication skills
Good IT skills
Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
