Workshop Cleaning Operative

We are looking for someone to clean ladders, podiums and other returning hired equipment in the morning. Later in the day, you will be inspecting ladders and podiums, assisting with the unloading of the returning vans and general yard duties. We have a friendly environment where the rapid growth of our business means we support the development of our talented people.

You will be responsible for:

• Cleaning of ladders, podiums, scissor lifts and other equipment using a pressure washer.
• Cleaning varied hire equipment by hand
• Rebranding new equipment with THX stickers
• Photographing and recording very dirty items
• Regularly checking, cleaning, and tidying our yard, workshop, warehouse, and vehicle parking areas
• Providing support to our Warehouse, Workshop and driving teams as required
• Inspection of ladders and podiums

Long term development

• The opportunity to learn Inspecting and Testing of returning hire equipment with the workshop team (training given)
• Undergo forklift training

You will be required to work Monday to Friday, 7.00am-4.30pm, with an ½ hour break and sometimes overtime may be required / offered to meet customer demand.

• Practical mind minded with the ability to work quickly and methodically.
• Experience in cleaning, organising, and tidying.
• Physical fit and hard-working team player
• Willingness to learn and able to follow instruction.
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• A can-do attitude with a willingness to help out.
• Ability to concentrate whilst doing repetitive tasks.
