About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Engineer to join a growing engineering business specialising in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

You will work on a wide range of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and components, carrying out inspection, fault finding, repair, overhaul, assembly and testing. The role offers exposure to different applications and industries, with ongoing training and development available.

Key Responsibilities

Repair, overhaul and refurbish hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems.

*

Strip, inspect and assess hydraulic components to identify faults, wear and damage.

*

Overhaul and rebuild hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, actuators and associated components.

*

Carry out fault finding and diagnosis on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and systems.

*

Repair and overhaul hydraulic power units (HPUs) and associated equipment.

*

Assemble and rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components to drawings, specifications and customer requirements.

*

Test and commission repaired and overhauled equipment to ensure it meets the required operating criteria.

*

Run up and test hydraulic power packs, hydraulic systems and compressors where required.

*

Carry out inspection and testing using appropriate test equipment.

Essential Requirements

*

Relevant engineering qualification to a minimum of NVQ Level 3.

*

Knowledge and understanding of fluid power products and systems.

*

Reasonable understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.

*

Practical experience within an engineering, workshop or plant maintenance environment.

*

Ability to diagnose faults and work from limited information.

*

A full UK driving licence held for a minimum of three years.

Mon-Friday 8:30-17:00. 40h per week

Up to Salary £36,000
