Driver Hire is recruiting on behalf of a leading forklift company in East Kilbride.
We're looking for a reliable, mechanically minded Workshop Fitter to join a busy hire fleet operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working on plant machinery, vehicles, or industrial equipment who is looking for a long-term career.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare forklifts for hire
Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI)
Complete off-hire inspections and identify faults
Service, maintain, and carry out minor repairs
Keep the workshop and yard safe, clean, and organised
Complete job records accurately
What We're Looking For
Strong mechanical skills
Experience with plant, vehicles, or industrial equipment
Team player with a proactive attitude
Good attention to detail and commitment to safety
Forklift experience and knowledge of hydraulic, diesel, LPG, or electric systems is desirable but not essential. Full training provided.
