Workshop Supervisor / Manager

Location: North Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £56,000

Days: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm or 7am-3pm

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor / Manager to lead a busy commercial vehicle workshop in North Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong HGV or LCV background who can drive performance, maintain high standards, and support a productive and professional workshop team.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

* Lead, support, and motivate technicians and workshop staff.

* Plan workloads and prioritise jobs to minimise vehicle downtime.

* Monitor productivity, quality, and compliance across all workshop activities.

* Support diagnostics, repairs, servicing, and maintenance of commercial vehicles where required.

* Ensure all paperwork, job cards, and service records are completed accurately.

* Maintain strong health and safety standards within the workshop.

* Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery.

What We’re Looking For

* Previous experience in a Workshop Supervisor, Workshop Controller, or Workshop Manager role.

* Strong technical background in HGV or LCV maintenance and repair.

* Must be a Level 3 qualified Technician

* Confident leading teams within a fast-paced workshop environment.

* Good understanding of compliance, workshop processes, and health and safety standards.

* Strong organisational and communication skills.

* A proactive, hands-on management style with the ability to solve problems and drive standards.
