Workshop Manager

Kinaxia are looking to recruit a Workshop Manager to join their team at their site in Warrington. The role of the Workshop Manager will be to control and oversee the Workshop Department to ensure all vehicles and trailers, equipment and assets are serviced and maintained in a safe, cost effective, efficient manner and to ensure all said vehicles, trailers, equipment & assets comply to all ‘O’ License obligations, to all standards set by the DVSA and to all standards set by any other relevant regulatory bodies.

Job Role:

Lead, develop and motivate direct reports to ensure they reach their full potential and subsequently contribute effectivelyto the overall performance of the business and deliver a world class service. 

Implement an annual training program to ensure your direct reports remain up to date with the latest techniques, technology and vehicle models. 

Work closely with the Transport Department to plan and organise work schedules,including MOT’s and PMI’s,then allocate duties appropriately within the department, or externally if required, to deliver and maintainhigh levels of service.

Work closely with the Compliance Department on implementing and maintaining all workplace health and safety standards to ensure compliance with any regulatory body regulations and standards, including the maintenance of equipment, tools and the workplace.

Lead on the full utilisation of any Workshop system to maintainaccurateparts & stockcontrol, maintenance and service records, ensuring cost effectiveness and quality alway.;

Co-ordinate & monitor the completion of all repairs, fault diagnosis and maintenance requirements to ensure all vehicles are in a compliant and safe working condition when they leave the workshop.
Your knowledge and experience:

A mechanical qualification is essential 

Commercial experience of managing an owned fleet 

Experience of maintainingHGV vehicles and managing a department
