The Role

Proposed role profile for potential leadership of a specialist heavy-equipment workshop. Appointment approval, final duties and recruitment timing remain unconfirmed.

Potential scope includes specialist transport trailers and SPMT equipment. It must not be treated as the mixed plant/light-vehicle manager role.

Key Responsibilities

• Proposed: lead daily workshop planning and safe maintenance of specialist transport equipment.
• Proposed: supervise technicians, support technical diagnosis and check work quality.
• Proposed: coordinate repair priorities, records, training needs and equipment handovers.
• Proposed: improve workshop organisation and communication with fleet/operations colleagues.

Skills and Experience Required

• Proposed: credible specialist trailer/SPMT maintenance experience.
• Proposed: hands-on supervisory or workshop-management capability.
• Proposed: sound maintenance safety, technical records and team-development skills.

Desirable Experience

• Relevant specialist manufacturer and management training.
