Workshop Operative

Pineapple Careers is delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established organisation based in Billingshurst to recruit a Workshop Operative on a full-time, permanent basis. Are you experienced at working in a Manufacturing or Production environment? Do you have a practical mindset, a keen eye for detail and thrive working as part of a team? Key Responsibilities:

• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the workshop
• Assisting with edge banding and CNC machine operation
• Pick and pack customer orders
• Print transport labels and prepare finished products
• Report any faults or problems with the production list
• Liaise with other departments to ensure workflow efficiency
• Receive, identify, label and store materials appropriately
• Keep the Workshop clean, tidy and compliant with H&S standards
• Check incoming deliveries against paperwork and report damages
• Accurately manage goods-in, including receipting, unpacking and storing

Key Skills:

• Previous experience in a workshop, production or manufacturing environment
• Edge banding and CNC Machine operation
• Beam saw experience is desirable
• Conscientious
• Strong timekeeping and reliability
• Able to work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of Health & Safety

• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach

Salary & Benefits:

• £27,000 - £33,000 (depending on experience)
• Monday to Friday, 08.00 - 17.00
• Pension Contribution
• 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
• Free Parking
