Workshop Powered Access Engineer

Our client provides reliable and efficient powered access solutions, offering a wide range of equipment for hire, sales, and maintenance to meet diverse project needs across the UK. They are now looking to hire a skilled Workshop Powered Access Engineer to join their established team in Peterborough. The ideal candidate must hold a valid CAP qualification and have a strong understanding of the maintenance and service of powered access equipment, they will also be proficient in completing both pre delivery & LOLA inspections and will be proficient in undertaking both mechanical and electrical work.

• Perform pre-delivery inspections, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines, company policies, and safety regulations
• Communicate defects or unsafe equipment to the Depot Manager promptly
• Diagnose, repair, and address faults to ensure platforms meet company standards.
• Conduct LOLER inspections following manufacturer instructions and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure proper stock control for all parts and consumables.
• Report potential customer recharges or warranty issues to the Service Department
• Adhere to the company's health and safety procedures at all times

• Experience in maintaining and inspecting mobile or vehicle-mounted access platforms.
• IPAF Competent Assessed Person (CAP) qualification.
• Relevant general maintenance qualification with proven experience in the plant rental sector.
• Strong background in auto electrics, hydraulics, and diagnostics/fault finding.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and perform well under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
• Based within a commutable distance of Peterborough

• Salary £34,000 - £38,000 DOE
• Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:00
• Overtime available
• 33 Days holiday inclusive of public holidays
• Pension
