Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Workshop Service Engineer to join a global manufacturing organisation based in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity to work within an innovative and fast-growing company, supporting the maintenance and repair of specialist capital plant equipment. What's on Offer: Competitive salary package (dependent on experience) 24 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service) Healthcare cashback scheme Company pension (4% employer contribution) Life assurance Company sick pay scheme Excellent career development opportunities Opportunity to work for a global organisation Qualifications Essential: Strong engineering background in specialist vehicles or machinery In-depth knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems Hands-on experience with diagnostics, maintenance, and repair Experience working with high-value capital equipment Understanding of IC engines, hydraulic, and auto-electrical systems Good IT skills (Microsoft packages) Desirable: Formal training in vehicle or agricultural equipment Electrical and hydraulic qualifications Recognised engineering qualifications Roles & Responsibilities Carry out maintenance and repair of sweepers, spreaders, airport support equipment, and mowing machinery Complete refurbishment and accident damage repairs Undertake warranty work and associated documentation Perform body building and welding tasks where required Accurately complete all administrative tasks including job sheets and parts requests Coordinate effectively with the Service Desk to manage workload Attend customer sites across the UK for repairs (occasional overnight stays required) Provide support to other UK locations when required Deliver excellent customer service at all times Work collaboratively within the workshop team to meet deadlines and targets Promote continuous improvement and uphold company values Requirements As a Workshop Service Engineer, you will also be expected to: Be a proactive and adaptable individual Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude Be well organised with strong time management skills Build strong relationships internally and externally Show flexibility with working hours (45 hours during peak periods) Commit to delivering high standards of workmanship and customer service About the Company This role is with a global leader in specialist vehicle manufacturing, employing over 3,000 people across multiple international locations.
