Workshop Team Manager – Milton Keynes

Are you a proactive and organised leader with a passion for operational excellence and team development? We’re looking for a dynamic Workshop & Operations Team Manager to oversee daily activities, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement across our Milton Keynes site.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and supervise a skilled team and external service providers to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Take ownership of the Milton Keynes workshop space – from layout planning to equipment needs and overall upkeep.
• Coordinate and monitor daily and weekly tasks, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Oversee quality control processes and manage relationships with outsourced suppliers.
• Maintain stock control of consumables and manage project-specific preparation requests.
• Provide cross-functional support to other departments as needed.
• Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance and proactive risk management.
• Manage service, inspection, and repair schedules for all relevant equipment.
• Foster a clean, safe, and professional working environment.

Leadership Responsibilities:

• Provide strong line management, mentoring, and support to your team and other business areas.
• Handle team scheduling, overtime approvals, and annual appraisals.
• Promote company policies and encourage team engagement.
• Identify training needs and coordinate development opportunities in collaboration with HR.

Administrative & Compliance Duties:

• Ensure adherence to company procedures and attend operational meetings.
• Maintain awareness of health and safety documentation and ensure team compliance.
• Report any incidents or risks promptly and assist in investigations.
