Are you a Workshop Controller, Workshop Foreman or Senior Technician with strong hands-on mechanical skills, looking to take ownership of a busy workshop and lead an experienced team?

Do you want to join a growing, family-run business where you can play a key role in developing a new state-of-the-art workshop and have genuine autonomy over the day-to-day operation?

On offer is a fantastic opportunity to join a long-established leisure vehicle business as a Workshop Controller, where you will lead an experienced team while remaining hands-on with technical work. Around half of your time will be spent carrying out servicing, repairs, diagnostics and preparation work, with the remainder focused on workload planning, team management and improving workshop performance.

You will work across a wide variety of motorhome systems including mechanical, electrical, gas, water, heating and habitation systems, with no two days being the same. You will also have the opportunity to influence how the growing aftersales department operates as the company invests in a new workshop and larger site.

This role would suit a Workshop Controller, Workshop Foreman, Senior Technician, Vehicle Technician, Motorhome Technician, Caravan Technician or experienced Automotive Technician looking for a hands-on leadership position with greater responsibility, autonomy and progression.

The Role

Take day-to-day ownership of the workshop and its performance.
Lead, support and provide direction to an experienced team of technicians.
Plan workshop workloads and allocate jobs effectively across the team.
Manage technician productivity and utilisation.
Work closely with the Operations Manager to manage the workshop diary and upcoming workload.

The Person

Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Workshop Foreman, Senior Technician or similar.
Strong practical technical knowledge and hands-on workshop experience.
Experience within the automotive industry.
Full UK driving licence.
