We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Workshop Supervisor / Senior HGV Technician to join a busy maintenance workshop in Beenham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role while providing technical guidance and leadership to a team of technicians and apprentices. The Role Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring vehicles are maintained safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include: * Supervising and supporting HGV Technicians and Apprentices. * Allocating work and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and on time. * Carrying out hands-on servicing, repairs and maintenance of HGVs. * Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults. * Managing service sheets, job cards and outstanding defects. * Assisting with VOR (Vehicle Off Road) reporting and maintenance planning. * Supporting the accurate use of the fleet maintenance system. * Ensuring compliance with relevant health & safety and LOLER requirements. * Assisting with parts ordering, stock control and maintaining accurate records. * Liaising with depots and operations teams regarding vehicle maintenance and repairs. * Supporting the Workshop Manager with continuous improvement and workshop efficiency. * Promoting a safe, professional and positive working environment. About You We are looking for someone with: * Previous experience in an HGV Technician or Workshop Supervisor role. * A minimum LGV Class 2 licence and digital tachograph card. * Relevant HGV maintenance qualifications, such as City & Guilds Parts 1–3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. * Strong practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. * Experience diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs. * Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and workshop procedures. * An understanding of Health & Safety requirements. * The ability to lead, motivate and support a team. * Strong communication and organisational skills. * A proactive approach with the ability to work independently when required.
