Workshop Vehicle Technician

Pertemps Technical are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly reputable, award-winning automotive business based in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Vehicle Technician to join a well-established workshop team in a modern, high-volume environment.

• Full-time position - Permanent role
• Bristol - BS5
• £28,000 – £36,000 (DOE) + Bonus Opportunity
  
• Monday to Friday ( 1 Saturday every 4 weeks )

The normal working hours are 43.75 hours per week, worked over 5 days plus the requirement to work 1 Saturday every 4 weeks.

Monday – Friday 8am – 5.30pm (1 hour break, 30 minutes for lunch and 2 x 15 minute breaks)
Saturday 8am – 1pm

Role Overview
You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, completing repairs and services to a high standard, and contributing to the overall productivity and performance of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults across various makes and models
• Carry out servicing and repairs in line with manufacturer and industry standards
• Perform MOT testing (if qualified)
• Complete pre-delivery inspections
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of job cards and reports
• Communicate clearly with service advisors and contribute to a collaborative workshop environment
• Maintain health & safety and cleanliness standards in the workplace

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant qualification in light vehicle maintenance & repair OR equivalent hands-on experience
• Valid UK driving licence
• Your own set of basic tools
• Strong communication and team-working skills
• MOT tester accreditation (desirable – rewarded with higher salary)
• Good physical fitness and a proactive attitude
