XYZ Turner role paying from £17.00 per hour, with real ownership over the parts you produce.
You'll be trusted to programme and run the XYZ lathe, turning technical drawings into precision components.

This is a well-established engineering manufacturer specialising in the design and manufacture of complex marine and defence equipment, working across superyacht, commercial and military sectors. All products are designed and built in-house using the latest materials and techniques.

As an XYZ Turner, your responsibilities will include:

Programme and operate the XYZ lathe and other machine tools to produce precision components
Interpret technical drawings accurately, including occasional tight tolerances
Inspect your own work before it reaches the quality department
Use hand and power tools for assembly, finishing and minor adjustments
Troubleshoot general engineering issues as they arise
Handle raw materials safely and efficiently
As an XYZ Turner, your experience will include:

Proven experience as a Turner
Previous experience on an XYZ machine preferred but not essential
Strong proficiency in reading technical drawings
Sound mechanical knowledge of tooling, fixtures and machine maintenance
A methodical, systematic approach with strong organisational and numeracy skills
Comfortable working independently and to a consistently high standard
