Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Are you a passionate and experienced Year 6 teacher looking for a unique opportunity? Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Chesterfield for a fixed-term role beginning in September 2025.

This is a distinctive and rewarding position, ideal for a primary-trained teacher who thrives on helping pupils bridge the gap between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. You will work with a small group of Year 7 students, delivering targeted catch-up sessions in core subjects to ensure they make a confident and successful transition to secondary education.

About the Role:

• Full-time position from September to December 2025
• Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to individual learning needs
• Focus on literacy, numeracy, and foundational skills to support progress
• Collaborate with the wider teaching and pastoral team to track and support student development
• Ideal for a teacher with a strong understanding of Year 6 curriculum and transition challenges

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds QTS and has experience teaching in UK primary schools, particularly Year 6
• Has a nurturing, adaptable approach and can build positive relationships quickly
• Is committed to helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and academic skills
• Can work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a secondary school setting
