Yard Coordinator

Great opportunity to work as a Yard Operative for our client, one of the most international companies in the world!

Staffline is recruiting Yard Operative in Heathrow Airport.

The rate of pay is £14.58 per hour

This is a full-time role working 5 on 3 off:
- 10am to 7pm (some flexibility to cover afternoon shifts aswell)

Your Time at Work

As a Yard Operative your role will include:

- Act as a banks person for HGV movements within the GSE area.
- Carry out stock counts for the top-up operation and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Prevent colleagues from using the bay lift and confidently challenge colleagues when required.
- Ensure a banks person is used when D1 and step vehicles are reversing.
- Conduct safety conversations with colleagues to address incorrect use of PPE.
- Conduct safety conversations to address non-compliance with safety requirements.
- Raise hazard reports, SLAM observations and near-miss reports for unsafe conditions, as appropriate.
- Work closely with the Stores team to support day-to-day operations.
- Carry out loading and offloading duties.
- Carry out vehicle cleaning duties.
- Keep containers and top-up vehicles tidy.
- Monitor parking during break times and drop-off and pick-up periods.
- Provide cover for the Loader role when required.
