Looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same?Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business in Exeter for a Yard Operative to join their busy depot team. If you enjoy working outdoors, like keeping active, and take pride in a job well done, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
You'll play a key role in keeping the operation running smoothly, ensuring equipment is prepared, checked and ready to be delivered to customers across the region.

What you'll be doing
Loading and unloading equipment safely and efficiently.
Inspecting equipment to ensure it meets quality standards before dispatch and on return.
Checking delivery and collection paperwork is accurate and complete.
Maintaining a tidy, organised and safe yard at all times.
Working closely with the depot team to keep stock levels accurate.
Assisting with regular stock takes and reporting any discrepancies.
Delivering excellent customer service when dealing with drivers and visitors.
Following all Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.What we're looking forWe're looking for someone who enjoys practical work and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
Ideally, you'll have:

Experience in a yard, warehouse, production or industrial environment (preferred but not essential).
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
A strong awareness of health and safety.
Good attention to detail.
The ability to work well as part of a close-knit team.
