Yard Operative Saw Operator

Position Details:

• Job Title: Yard Operative/Saw Operator
• Location: East London
• Working Pattern: Full Time (Monday to Friday, 7 am - 4 pm)
• Annual Salary: £26,520 - £30,000 - dependant on experience

What You'll Do:
As our Saw Operator, Wood Machinist, you will be at the heart of our production process. Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and operating various sawing machines, including band saws, circular saws, and multi-rip saws, as well as moulders and spindles.
• Measuring and cutting wood to precise specifications using a variety of measuring tools.
• Maintaining sawing equipment and performing minor repairs as needed.
• Working effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team to meet production goals.
• Adhering to all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications We're Looking For:

• 1-2 years of experience in sawing or woodworking is preferred.
• Full training will be given
• Strong math and problem-solving skills to tackle challenges head-on.
• A meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and regulations.

Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a noisy environment.
