Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Droylsden, Tameside. This is a full-time, long-term maternity cover role starting in October and continuing until January.

The successful candidate will be confident teaching across the Year 1 curriculum, with a strong understanding of the transition from EYFS to KS1. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that support pupils' early development in reading, writing and mathematics, while creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold QTS and have recent experience teaching within a primary school.
Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum, particularly Year 1 expectations.
Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
Have excellent classroom management skills and establish clear routines and expectations.
Support pupils' development in phonics, early reading, writing and mathematics.
Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
