Your Role as a Year 1 Teacher

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and interactive lessons tailored to Year 1 pupils.


• Foster a supportive and stimulating classroom environment where children feel confident and valued.


• Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support and feedback.


• Encourage children to develop early literacy and numeracy skills through engaging activities.


• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure every child reaches their potential.


• Participate in staff meetings, training, and school-wide initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.


• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.


• A strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.


• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.


• A passion for inclusive education and fostering a love of learning in young children.


• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
