We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 1 Teacher to join our inclusive and high-achieving primary school in Slough from January 2026. This is a permanent position, open to full-time and part-time applicants, with potential for a TLR for subject or phase leadership for the right candidate.

The Role

Position: Year 1 Teacher

Location: Slough

Start Date: January 2026

Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time Considered

TLR: Available for Subject or Phase Leadership (for the right candidate)

As our Year 1 Teacher, you will:

• Lead a Year 1 class, delivering an engaging and creative curriculum.


• Support children’s progress in phonics, literacy, and numeracy.


• Assess learning and plan for next steps to secure progress.


• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.


• Work closely with parents, colleagues, and support staff.


• (If applicable) Take on subject or phase leadership responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants who:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).


• Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.


• Understand phonics teaching and early childhood development.


• Are reflective, organised, and excellent communicators.


• Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to inclusion.


• Are open to leadership responsibilities if seeking a TLR.
