Job Description - Year 2 Class Teacher

Are you a driven and compassionate KS1 teacher ready to make genuine impact? A warm, inclusive primary school in the heart of Islington is looking for an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their supportive team for a full academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner who thrives in nurturing, community -focused environments and is committed to helping pupils overcome learning barriers.

You will lead a friendly class of 22 pupils, supported by a dedicated classroom TA and a 1:1 assistant for a child with an EHCP. Many children are currently working below national expectations—at Reception and Year 1 levels—so the school is seeking someone confident in accelerating progress, closing learning gaps and inspiring learners with varied needs.
