Year 2 Class Teacher – Temporary Cover (Until March 2027)

Zest Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in NW4 to recruit a dedicated Year 2 Class Teacher to provide full-time maternity cover until March 2027.

The Role:

As the Year 2 Class Teacher, you will take on full class responsibilities, including:

* Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum

* Preparing pupils for end of Key Stage 1 assessments

* Assessing, tracking and reporting on pupil progress

* Creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment

* Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies

* Working collaboratively with year group partners and support staff

* Building positive relationships with parents and carers

The Ideal Candidate:

* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Has experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2

* Demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge and assessment practice

* Is organised, reflective and committed to high standards

* Builds positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families

* Is enthusiastic about contributing to school life
