An ambitious and creative Year 2 Teacher is needed at a thriving Good primary school in Bristol. This Full-Time Year 2 Teacher role begins January 2026 and offers the successful Year 2 Teacher the chance to work with enthusiastic pupils and a supportive staff team. The Year 2 Teacher will begin induction in the weeks prior to January 2026, take part in handover and planning, and take up the classroom from January 2026 as a Full-Time member of staff.

Year 2 Teacher responsibilities

• The Year 2 Teacher will plan, teach and assess a rich, engaging curriculum tailored to Year 2 learners.

• As the Year 2 Teacher, you will deliver systematic phonics, guided reading, and structured maths lessons.

• The Year 2 Teacher will use assessment data to inform teaching, run small-group interventions and report progress to parents.

• The Year 2 Teacher will lead termly projects, contribute to enrichment and support transition work from Reception into Year 2 in January 2026 and beyond.

Year 2 Teacher requirements

• QTS and proven KS1 experience as a Year 2 Teacher.

• Strong classroom management and the ability to motivate Year 2 pupils.

• A creative Year 2 Teacher who is committed to inclusion, assessment for learning and collaborative planning.

Start & Contract

This is a Full-Time Year 2 Teacher position commencing January 2026. The Full-Time Year 2 Teacher will receive a full induction package in January 2026 and ongoing support throughout the year. The contract is Full-Time and permanent for the Year 2 Teacher appointed in January 2026.
