Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year 2 students.


• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where children feel valued and motivated to learn.


• Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.


• Encourage the development of essential literacy, numeracy, and social skills.


• Work closely with colleagues and support staff to deliver an exciting and effective curriculum.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child’s progress and development.


• Contribute to the school community by participating in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Year 2 Teacher Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.


• Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly in Year 2.


• Passionate about early years education and fostering a love for learning.


• Excellent communication skills and a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.


• Committed to continuous professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.
