Location: Tameside Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (Monday to Friday) Rate: £95 – £119 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role
As the successful Year 3 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide consistent 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism and ADHD Support emotional regulation, concentration, and classroom engagement Implement structured routines and visual support strategies Adapt learning activities to promote independence and understanding Use positive behaviour management and reinforcement techniques Build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team The successful candidate will understand that behaviour is often a form of communication and will be confident using a calm, patient, and proactive approach.

What We're Looking For
Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, or similar role Strong understanding of Autism and ADHD Experience supporting pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 basis Excellent behaviour management and de-escalation skills Calm, resilient, and nurturing approach Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents This role would particularly suit:
Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants Autism specialists Behaviour Mentors Youth Workers Psychology graduates with substantial SEN experience
