A forward-thinking Good primary in Peterborough is seeking a reflective and skilled Year 3 Teacher to join its KS2 phase on a Part-Time basis from January 2026. This Part-Time Year 3 Teacher vacancy allows a practitioner to maintain a balanced workload while delivering high-impact teaching. Though Part-Time, the Year 3 Teacher will hold full professional responsibilities and will be expected to join parents’ evenings and core team meetings in January 2026.
Day-to-day — Year 3 Teacher
The Year 3 Teacher will design coherent lessons that secure number fluency and vocabulary development. The Year 3 Teacher will use assessment to close gaps and will implement targeted interventions as the Year 3 Teacher. The Year 3 Teacher will liaise closely with parents to support learning at home and will play a central role in transition planning from Year 2 into Year 3 in the weeks around January 2026. The Part-Time Year 3 Teacher will receive mentor support from the senior team from January 2026 and will engage in peer coaching sessions during January 2026 and afterward.
Candidate profile — Year 3 Teacher
We are looking for a Year 3 Teacher with QTS and recent KS2 experience, excellent behaviour strategies and the ability to differentiate effectively for diverse learners. The Year 3 Teacher must be ready to plan before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 in a Part-Time capacity while contributing fully to the school’s professional life.
