A Lovely Junior School in Reading is seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 4 Class Teacher to join our supportive community on a full-time basis for the 2025/2026 academic year, covering maternity leave. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, ensuring the needs of all pupils are met and learning is accessible and engaging.
- Support the personal, social, and emotional development of pupils, promoting positive behaviour and a respectful classroom environment.
- Assess pupil progress regularly and use assessment data to inform planning and personalised support strategies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and contribute to school-wide initiatives that uphold our values of inclusion, respect, and excellence.
- Provide individualised support to pupils with additional needs, working closely with teaching assistants and external professionals to implement tailored learning plans.
- Maintain accurate records of pupils’ progress and behaviour, ensuring effective communication with parents and carers.
- Uphold the school’s ethos by fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment that encourages children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Participate in school meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance teaching practice and contribute to the school community.
