Job Description - Year 4 Teacher

? Year 4 Classroom Teacher

With Potential Phase Lead Responsibilities

?? Lovely, inclusive primary school in a vibrant, diverse community

?? Full-time | Permanent | Start: September 2025

Inspire, nurture, and shape the future of our learners.

Are you a fun, nurturing KS2 professional with excellent people skills? Do you have experience working with vulnerable children and a passion for making a difference? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

We are a mainstream primary school located in a deprived but spirited area, where our children face a range of challenges—but also bring incredible resilience, warmth, and potential. Our school is a safe, inclusive, and joyful place to learn, where every child is known, valued, and supported to thrive.

We are seeking a Year 4 Classroom Teacher who can bring energy, empathy, and high expectations to the role. For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity to take on Phase Lead responsibilities, helping to shape teaching and learning across KS2.

?? What We Offer

  • A welcoming, supportive team who care deeply about our pupils and each other.
  • A strong culture of collaboration, reflection, and professional growth.
  • Opportunities for leadership development and career progression.
  • A chance to make a real impact in the lives of children who need it most.

? Key Responsibilities

  • Create a caring, stimulating, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional vulnerabilities.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment and pastoral support.
  • (If applicable) Lead and support colleagues across the phase to raise standards and share best practice.

? What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified teacher with KS2 experience and a passion for inclusive education.
  • A creative, reflective practitioner who brings positivity and resilience.
  • Someone who understands the needs of vulnerable children and can build trust and consistency.
  • A team player with excellent communication and leadership potential.
