Here at Long-Term Teachers, we are working with a Primary School in the BS41 area of South Bristol who are looking for a Year 4 Class Teacher starting in the new Academic Year. 

You will be joining a wonderful 1 form entry school who have a close and dedicated team of staff who value the importance of supporting students and the community with developing independent and respectful individuals.

The Role 

The successful candidate for this role will be joining the school on a full-time basis to work in their Year 4 class. There is a Teaching Assistant in the classroom to help you support children additionally, through groups work of interventions. 

The Head Teacher is looking for someone who aims to provide children with knowledge and understanding of the world through a broad and balanced curriculum and learning opportunities. 

You will be expected to: 

• Have great knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• Ability to assess children’s knowledge and development. 
• Plan engaging and exciting activities to attract children to their learning. 
• Work closely with the class TA to support individual children. 
• Be confident with differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all children. 
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for the children.
