Education First are recruiting an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming and well-established independent primary school in Camden, North London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate primary teacher with strong Key Stage 2 experience who is looking for a rewarding two-term teaching position starting in January 2027.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 4 class, delivering engaging lessons, maintaining high educational standards and supporting pupils' academic and personal development.

The Role

Take full responsibility for a Year 4 class, planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum. You will create an engaging and inclusive classroom, differentiate learning, assess pupil progress and work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum, teach across KS2, differentiate learning to meet individual needs, maintain effective behaviour management, monitor and assess pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, build positive relationships with pupils and parents, and contribute to the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification, experience teaching in a UK primary school and strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum. Previous Year 4 experience is highly desirable.

You should demonstrate excellent classroom management, strong communication skills, a nurturing approach and a genuine commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare. Independent school experience would be advantageous, although experienced mainstream primary teachers are encouraged to apply.
