Role overview

We seek an enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join Upper Key Stage 2 in a thriving Birmingham school from January 2026. The Year 4 Teacher will be involved in pre-term planning before January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and take up classroom duties from January 2026. This post is perfect for a teacher keen to deliver challenging, enquiry-based learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver progressive maths and English sequences as the Year 4 Teacher.

• Lead foundation projects and science investigations as the Year 4 Teacher.

• Monitor progress, run interventions and support mentoring as the Year 4 Teacher.

The Year 4 Teacher will prepare moderation evidence and assessment records prior to review meetings after January 2026.

Skills & qualifications

The ideal candidate is a qualified Year 4 Teacher (QTS/PGCE or equivalent) with strong KS2 skills, confident classroom management and experience of delivering high-quality lessons. The Year 4 Teacher must be available for pre-start planning before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and classroom start from January 2026.
