What the Year 4 Teacher will do

The Year 4 Teacher will plan well-sequenced lessons that deepen mathematical reasoning, broaden vocabulary and develop confident writers. The Year 4 Teacher will lead assessment cycles and run targeted interventions. The Year 4 Teacher will also contribute to whole-school initiatives and may lead a curriculum strand — all preparation for the Year 4 Teacher will begin prior to January 2026 and the Year 4 Teacher will be supported from the induction in January 2026.

Candidate profile — Year 4 Teacher

We seek a Year 4 Teacher with QTS, strong KS2 experience and evidence of driving pupil progress. The Year 4 Teacher should be collaborative, reflective and keen to develop as a middle leader. The Independent School provides mentoring and CPD for the Year 4 Teacher from January 2026 and beyond.
