Year 4 Teacher | Merton

Wayman Education is seeking a committed Year 4 Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Merton, with the role starting January 2026. This Year 4 Teacher will lead stimulating lessons, contribute to curriculum development and support pupils’ academic and personal growth. The school in Merton is known for its inclusive culture, well-behaved pupils and strong leadership.

The Year 4 Teacher will join a well-organised team and be supported by experienced colleagues. The school invests heavily in training and offers excellent opportunities for career progression. A full induction will be provided before January 2026 to support the Year 4 Teacher’s smooth transition.

Responsibilities

• Teach well-planned Year 4 lessons with clear progression across all subjects.


• Provide effective feedback and maintain up-to-date assessment records.


• Collaborate on curriculum planning and share best practice within KS2.


• Lead small groups and differentiated activities to support varied learning needs.


• Engage in wider school initiatives and community events.

Person specification

• QTS with a solid understanding of KS2 pedagogy.


• Evidence of strong classroom practice and effective behaviour management.


• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.


• Ready to work within a dedicated team in Merton.


• Available for a January 2026 start.
