Year 4 Teacher Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of Year 4 students.


• Create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to learn.


• Regularly assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear learning objectives.


• Foster a love of learning in literacy, numeracy, and other subjects, encouraging students to take responsibility for their learning.


• Work closely with colleagues to ensure that the curriculum is delivered effectively and creatively.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with parents to keep them informed of their child’s progress and well-being.


• Take part in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities to contribute to the overall success of the school.

Year 4 Teacher Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.


• Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 4.


• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods.


• Passionate about creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for young learners.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• A flexible, team-player who is eager to collaborate and grow professionally.


• Commitment to continuous professional development and high teaching standards.
