Responsibilities of the Year 5 Teacher:

• Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to Year 5 pupils, focusing on each child’s individual learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and supporting their areas for growth.


• Developing foundational skills in literacy and numeracy through well-structured and differentiated lessons as a Year 5 Teacher.


• Promoting social and emotional development, fostering confidence, teamwork, and a love of learning in your Year 5 classroom.


• Monitoring pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback, and communicating with parents regarding their child’s achievements as a Year 5 Teacher.
